Why is Membership Important?

Why is Membership Important?

The $50 Question:

“Why is membership important?”  That’s the $50 a year question that we often get asked.

Your membership dues are responsibly and thoughtfully used by South Placer RWF:

  • Overhead costs - such as meeting expenses, printing materials, website, insurance
  • We love to give back to our community in the form of scholarships and by supporting organizations that are of interest and concern to Republican Women.

Dues also grant you membership with

National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) and the California Federation of Republican Women (CFRW):

  • Legislative staff and advocates who work on our behalf at the state and national level.  They provide valuable analysis of legislation, lobby on our behalf, and provide updates to us - through their emails, newsletters, and website.
  • Educational and training opportunities.  Not only do you become more informed, you can take online classes like "Campaign Management School".  You can learn about fundraising, technology, and Grass Roots Organizing OR sign up for Election Integrity training.
  • Zoom meetings with elected officials and special guests

What does all of this mean?

  • There is strength in numbers: Our dues help get good people elected and that means with our $50 a year, each of us can make a difference in our local community, state, and nation. Your membership make our voices stronger!
  • You become effective leaders and volunteers for campaigns and causes that need our support.
  • You support women in our club who may want to run for office.
  • You support women in your circle who may need moral support or who are nervous about trying something new, like making phone calls and letter writing.  There is no limit to the good we can do all around us.

Why Join?

  • You will stay informed on issues, propositions, campaigns, and legislation
  • You can learn how to become an effective leader and volunteer
  • You can support grassroots efforts in electing Republicans through volunteer work or financial support
  • You will have the opportunity to hear from and meet political leaders and candidates and experts in the areas of interest for Republican Women
  • You will discover ways to make a difference in our community and state - for example, gathering signatures for important ballot initiatives

You won't be alone. You'll join a sisterhood of strong women who will be by your side when needed. We all have a role to play.  You may be a woman with a small voice, but when we put our voices together, we are stronger and more people can hear us.  We hope you'll add your voice to ours!
